FIRE FIGHTING
FIRE Combustible.
NO open flames.
Powder, water spray, foam, carbon dioxide.
EXPLOSION

EXPOSURE
STRICT HYGIENE!

 •INHALATION Cough. Sore throat.
Ventilation, local exhaust, or breathing protection.
Fresh air, rest. Refer for medical attention.
 •SKIN
Protective gloves.
Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap.
 •EYES Redness. Pain. Severe deep burns.
Safety goggles or eye protection in combination with breathing protection.
First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
 •INGESTION Abdominal pain. Diarrhoea. Nausea. Vomiting.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.
Rinse mouth. Give plenty of water to drink. Refer for medical attention.
SPILLAGE DISPOSAL STORAGE PACKAGING & LABELLING
Ventilation. Collect leaking and spilled liquid in sealable containers as far as possible. Absorb remaining liquid in sand or inert absorbent and remove to safe place. Personal protection: filter respirator for organic gases and vapours.
Separated from strong acids. Keep in the dark. Cool. Store only if stabilized.

PHYSICAL STATE; APPEARANCE:
COLOURLESS TO YELLOW LIQUID

PHYSICAL DANGERS:

CHEMICAL DANGERS:
The substance may polymerize in the presence of air due to warming, under the influence of light and acid(s). The substance decomposes on burning producing toxic and corrosive gases(nitrogen oxides).

OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMITS:
TLV: 0.05 ppm as TWA; A3 (confirmed animal carcinogen with unknown relevance to humans); (ACGIH 2004).
MAK: skin absorption (H);
Carcinogen category: 2;
(DFG 2004).

ROUTES OF EXPOSURE:
The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation, through the skin and by ingestion.

INHALATION RISK:
A harmful contamination of the air will be reached quickly on evaporation of this substance at 20°C.

EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
The substance is irritating to the respiratory tract and is corrosive to the eyes.

EFFECTS OF LONG-TERM OR REPEATED EXPOSURE:
The substance may have effects on the liver , resulting in liver impairment. Tumours have been detected in experimental animals but may not be relevant to humans.
