FIRE	Not combustible but enhances combustion of other substances. Many reactions may cause fire or explosion.	NO contact with combustible substances and reducing agents.	NO water. In case of fire in the surroundings: use appropriate extinguishing media.
EXPLOSION

EXPOSURE		PREVENT DISPERSION OF DUST! AVOID ALL CONTACT!	IN ALL CASES CONSULT A DOCTOR!
•INHALATION	Cough. Laboured breathing. Shortness of breath. Sore throat. Wheezing. Burning sensation. Symptoms may be delayed (see Notes).	Closed system and ventilation.	Fresh air, rest. Half-upright position. Artificial respiration may be needed. Refer for medical attention.
•SKIN	Redness. Skin burns. Pain.	Protective gloves. Protective clothing.	Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse skin with plenty of water or shower. Refer for medical attention.
•EYES	Redness. Pain. Severe deep burns.	Safety goggles, or eye protection in combination with breathing protection.	First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
•INGESTION	Abdominal pain. Burning sensation. Shock or collapse.	Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work. Wash hands before eating.	Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting. Refer for medical attention.

Do NOT let this chemical enter the environment. Vacuum spilled material. OR Sweep spilled substance into sealable containers; if appropriate, moisten first to prevent dusting. Carefully collect remainder, then remove to safe place. Do NOT absorb in saw-dust or other combustible absorbents. Personal protection: complete protective clothing including self-contained breathing apparatus.

Separated from combustible and reducing substances, bases , food and feedstuffs . Dry.

Do not transport with food and feedstuffs.

ODOURLESS , DARK RED DELIQUESCENT CRYSTALS , FLAKES OR GRANULAR POWDER.

CHEMICAL DANGERS:
The substance decomposes above 250°C to chromic oxide and oxygen , which increases fire hazard. The substance is a strong oxidant and reacts violently with combustible and reducing materials causing fire and explosion hazard. The solution in water is a strong acid, it reacts violently with bases and is corrosive.

ROUTES OF EXPOSURE:
The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation and through the skin and by ingestion.

INHALATION RISK:
Evaporation at 20°C is negligible; a harmful concentration of airborne particles can, however, be reached quickly when dispersed, especially if powdered.

EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
The substance is corrosive to the eyes, the skin and the respiratory tract. Corrosive on ingestion.

EFFECTS OF LONG-TERM OR REPEATED EXPOSURE:
Repeated or prolonged contact may cause skin sensitization. Repeated or prolonged inhalation exposure may cause asthma. The substance may have effects on the respiratory tract , kidneys , resulting in nasal septum perforation , kidney impairment . This substance is carcinogenic to humans. May cause heritable genetic damage to human germ cells. Animal tests show that this substance possibly causes toxicity to human reproduction or development.

The substance is very toxic to aquatic organisms. It is strongly advised that this substance does not enter the environment.

N O T E S

Rinse contaminated clothes (fire hazard) with plenty of water. The symptoms of asthma often do not become manifest until a few hours have passed and they are aggravated by physical effort. Rest and medical observation are therefore essential. Anyone who has shown symptoms of asthma due to this substance should avoid all further contact. Do NOT take working clothes home. Depending on the degree of exposure, periodic medical examination is suggested.
