FIRE |
Not combustible but enhances combustion of other substances.
Many reactions may cause fire or explosion.
Gives off irritating or toxic fumes (or gases) in a fire.
|
NO contact with flammable substances.
NO contact with combustibles, reducing agents, and organic materials.
|
Water in large amounts.
|
EXPLOSION |
Risk of fire and explosion.
|
|
In case of fire: keep drums, etc., cool by spraying with water.
|
EXPOSURE |

N O T E S | ||||
The substance is entirely decomposed at temperature higher than 300°C.
Will turn shock-sensitive if contaminated with organic materials.
Marketed formulations contain a flame retardant.
Depending on the degree of exposure, periodic medical examination is suggested.
Rinse contaminated clothes (fire hazard) with plenty of water.
Dervan, Defol, Chlorax and Atlacide are trade names.
Card has been partly updated in October 2004. See sections Occupational Exposure Limits, EU classification, Emergency Response.
