TURNS YELLOW ON EXPOSURE TO AIR. PHYSICAL DANGERS: The vapour is heavier than air and may travel along the ground; distant ignition possible. CHEMICAL DANGERS: The substance may ignite spontaneously on contact with air. On combustion, forms toxic and/or flammable fumes including nitrogen oxides, hydrogen, ammonia, dimethylamine and hydrazoic acid. The substance is a strong reducing agent and reacts violently with oxidants like nitrogen tetroxide, hydrogen peroxide and nitric acid. The substance is a strong base, it reacts violently with acid and is corrosive. Reacts with oxygen causing fire and explosion hazard. Attacks plastic. N O T E S Depending on the degree of exposure, periodic medical examination is suggested. The symptoms of lung oedema often do not become manifest until a few hours have passed and they are aggravated by physical effort. Rest and medical observation are therefore essential. Immediate administration of an appropriate inhalation therapy by a doctor or a person authorized by him/her, should be considered.
