TYPES OF HAZARD/ EXPOSURE	ACUTE HAZARDS/ SYMPTOMS	PREVENTION	FIRST AID/ FIRE FIGHTING
FIRE	Flammable. Gives off irritating or toxic fumes (or gases) in a fire.	NO open flames, NO sparks, and NO smoking. NO contact with acid(s), water.	Dry powder, carbon dioxide, dry sand. NO water.
EXPLOSION	Risk of fire and explosion on contact with water. Finely dispersed particles form explosive mixtures in air.	Do NOT expose to friction or shock. Prevent deposition of dust; closed system, dust explosion-proof electrical equipment and lighting. Use non-sparking handtools.

EXPOSURE		PREVENT DISPERSION OF DUST!	IN ALL CASES CONSULT A DOCTOR!
•INHALATION	Cough. Sore throat.	Local exhaust or breathing protection.	Fresh air, rest. Half-upright position. Refer for medical attention.
•SKIN	Redness. Pain.	Protective gloves.	Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse skin with plenty of water or shower. Refer for medical attention.
•EYES	Redness. Pain. Severe deep burns.	Safety goggles.	First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
•INGESTION	Nausea. Vomiting. Abdominal pain.	Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.	Rinse mouth. Refer for medical attention.

Personal protection: P2 filter respirator for harmful particles. Remove all ignition sources. Sweep spilled substance into dry, sealable containers. Do NOT let this chemical enter the environment.

PHYSICAL STATE; APPEARANCE:
YELLOW TO GREEN CRYSTALS , WITH CHARACTERISTIC ODOUR.

PHYSICAL DANGERS:
Dust explosion possible if in powder or granular form, mixed with air.

CHEMICAL DANGERS:
Reacts with bases , organic compounds , strong oxidants . Reacts violently with water and acids to produce hydrogen sulfide (see ICSC0165) and phophoric acid (see ICSC1008) causing fire and explosion hazard. May decompose explosively on shock, friction, or concussion.

OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMITS:
TLV: 1 mg/mł as TWA; 3 mg/mł as STEL; (ACGIH 2004).
MAK: IIb (not established but data is available); (DFG 2004).

ROUTES OF EXPOSURE:
The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation and by ingestion.

INHALATION RISK:
A harmful concentration of airborne particles can be reached quickly when dispersed.

EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
The substance is corrosive to the eyes, and is severely irritating to the skin and the respiratory tract .
