TYPES OF HAZARD/ EXPOSURE ACUTE HAZARDS/ SYMPTOMS PREVENTION FIRST AID/
FIRE FIGHTING
FIRE Flammable. Gives off irritating or toxic fumes (or gases) in a fire.
NO open flames, NO sparks, and NO smoking.
Foam, alcohol-resistant foam, dry powder, water spray, carbon dioxide.
EXPLOSION Above 52°C explosive vapour/air mixtures may be formed.
Above 52°C use a closed system, ventilation, and explosion-proof electrical equipment.
In case of fire: keep drums, etc., cool by spraying with water.
EXPOSURE
STRICT HYGIENE!

•INHALATION Cough. Laboured breathing. Sore throat.
Ventilation, local exhaust, or breathing protection.
Fresh air, rest. Half-upright position. Artificial respiration may be needed. Refer for medical attention.
 •SKIN Redness. Pain. Skin burns.
Protective gloves. Protective clothing.
Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse skin with plenty of water or shower. Refer for medical attention.
 •EYES Blurred vision. Deep burns.
Face shield, or eye protection in combination with breathing protection.
First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
•INGESTION Burning sensation. Abdominal pain. Shock or collapse.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.
Rinse mouth. Give plenty of water to drink. Do NOT induce vomiting. Refer for medical attention.
SPILLAGE DISPOSAL STORAGE PACKAGING & LABELLING
Remove all ignition sources. Collect leaking liquid in covered containers. Personal protection: filter respirator for organic gases and vapours. Chemical protection suit.
Fireproof. Separated from oxidants . Well closed.

ENVIRONMENTAL
DATA

N O T E S
Explosive limits are unknown in literature, although the substance is combustible and has a flash point < 61°C. Health effects of exposure to the substance have not been investigated adequately. Insufficient data are available on the effect of this substance on environment, therefore utmost care must be taken.
