FIRE	Flammable. See Notes.	NO open flames, NO sparks, and NO smoking.	Water spray. Alcohol-resistant foam. Dry powder. Carbon dioxide.
EXPLOSION	Above 58°C explosive vapour/air mixtures may be formed. (See Notes.)	Above 58°C use a closed system, ventilation, and explosion-proof electrical equipment. Use non-sparking handtools.	In case of fire: keep drums, etc., cool by spraying with water.

EXPOSURE
•INHALATION	Cough. Sore throat.	Ventilation, local exhaust, or breathing protection.	Fresh air, rest.
•SKIN	Redness. Dry skin. MAY BE ABSORBED!	Protective gloves. Protective clothing.	Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap.
•EYES	Redness. Pain.	Safety goggles.	First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
•INGESTION		Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.	Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting. Give plenty of water to drink. Refer for medical attention.

Remove all ignition sources. Personal protection: filter respirator for organic gases and vapours. Cover the spilled material with absorbent. Carefully collect remainder.

The substance decomposes on heating or on burning or on contact with acids , bases and amines producing acetone and mesityl alcohol. Reacts violently with oxidants forming flammable/explosive gas (hydrogen - see ICSC0001)

ROUTES OF EXPOSURE:
The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation of its vapour, through the skin and by ingestion.

INHALATION RISK:
A harmful contamination of the air will not or will only very slowly be reached on evaporation of this substance at 20°C.

EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
The substance is irritating to the eyes , the skin and the respiratory tract . If this liquid is swallowed, aspiration into the lungs may result in chemical pneumonitis. Exposure farabove the OEL may result in lowering of consciousness.

EFFECTS OF LONG-TERM OR REPEATED EXPOSURE:
The liquid defats the skin.
